Meet Christopher P. Cavazos
Valley born and raised, Christopher “Chris” P. Cavazos, is honored with the privilege of protecting the rights of Rio Grande Valley Residents. Chris has had the unique benefit of working with the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s office. This was a calculated decision based on the advice of his Uncle who had been practicing in Hidalgo County for over 20 years. Within a year of practice, Chris was assigned to a District Court and tasked with prosecuting murders, sexual assault and capital murders. This experience with the District Attorney’s office has given him the legal expertise and understanding necessary to handle any legal issue that may be presented to him.
When Chris graduated from law school he took the advice of his Uncle who had been practicing in Hidalgo County for over 20 years and worked with the District Attorney’s Office. This time allowed Chris to see first hand what his future clients will be facing. It also gave him a perspective on cases and how they are handled that is different from other attorneys who have not had that experience. After going to trial on multiple Capital Murders, Chris resigned from the District Attorney’s office and opened up his own private practice.
Since leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Chris has consistently been involved in and outside the courtroom. Chris prides himself in the knowledge that every client has the number to his cell phone. Chris also has the experience in civil litigation. His areas of practice include personal injury, family law, breaches of contract, and business litigation. He also works with families to recover loss after catastrophic damage to their homes caused by storms. As a dedicated attorney, Chris is committed to helping his clients find favorable solutions to their legal matters.
